PROCUREMENT CATEGORY MANAGER
Our client is one of the largest seafood companies in the world and the largest producer of Atlantic salmon. The company employs over 14,000 people worldwide and is present in 25 countries. The Company aims to produce nutritious and tasty seafood of the highest quality, and their driving force is continuous innovation to produce salmon n an increasingly sustainable way.
In 2017, the company achieved a turnover of 3.7 billion euros. They provide healthy, tasty, and sustainably farmed salmon and processed seafood in over 80 markets around the world. In 2017, the company’s salmon harvest amounted to 370,000 tonnes (GWE).
In Poland, they employ over 4,000 employees and manufacture in 7 production plants in 3 locations. In addition, a Business Support Center employing over 140 people is located in Gdańsk.
Now we are looking for a Procurement Category Manager. We are looking for someone who has experience with strategic sourcing, as well as implementation, use and maintenance of source to pay systems.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the development, implementation, management, and performance of sourcing sourcing strategies within a given IT Category, to meet business goals and objectives.
- management the assessment, selection and development of strategic suppliers to meet commodity cost and performance goals
- estabishing a strong network and fostering collaboration with customers, business units, suppliers, key stakeholders and team members
- researching and benchmarking current commodity market conditions, developing strategies, supply chain capacity/capability, product knowledge, customer requirements and supply/demand challenges
- responsible for the procurement of contracts including the management of cost, schedule and performance parameters. Developing contract specifications,work statements and terms and conditions
- Developing bid packages, conducting bidder’s conferences, analyzing and evaluating proposals, negotiating subcontract provisions, selecting and recommending subcontractors, writing awards and managing resulting contracts
- maintaining vendor performance database and reporting metrics
- responsible for best practice, implementation, operation, and maintenance of relevant procurement systems and applications in the Business Units
- participating in digitalization projects and cooperating closely with the group procurement systems responsible in Farming.
Candidates are expected to have:
- master in Economics and Administration, Supply Chain or other relevant education and experience
- minimum five years’ experience in procurement of indirect spend
- having led processes with documented results
- experienced Project Manager
- affinity with information systems and data structures
- excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills in both Polish and English.
